ZwillGen is a boutique law firm that represents some of the biggest names in technology on a range of Internet and data-related legal issues including privacy, cybersecurity, government surveillance, alternative data, and fantasy sports. We are seeking an attorney with at least five years of commercial litigation experience to join our litigation team. The applicant should be an excellent writer and oral advocate and be able to handle all aspects of complex litigation with limited supervision. This position requires a highly motivated, strategic, and creative thinker with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate will enjoy tackling novel legal issues and building client relationships.

Essential Job Functions

The ideal candidate is an attorney with at least five years of commercial litigation experience, preferably in defending clients in class action litigation. 

The attorney should have experience:

  • Developing and implementing case strategy, including advising clients on such strategy
  • Drafting substantive memoranda such as motions to dismiss, oppositions to motions for class certification, motions for summary judgment, and appellate briefs 
  • Independently managing offensive and defensive discovery efforts, including drafting discovery requests and responses, managing document productions, and litigating motions to compel
  • Working with experts
  • Prior experience with federal and state privacy laws is preferred, but not required.

You must also demonstrate the potential to independently manage projects, interact with clients, and work effectively as a team member. 

Candidates should write and communicate well, be able to think strategically and assess risks, and be comfortable working under tight deadlines that start-up clients sometimes impose.

Location

This position is available in any of our four offices, Washington, D.C., New York, NY, Chicago, IL, or San Francisco, CA. Candidates must be admitted to the bar for the jurisdiction in which they will work.

Salary & Application
