ZwillGen is a boutique law firm that represents some of the biggest names in technology on a range of Internet-related legal issues including cybersecurity, privacy, government surveillance, alternative data, and online gaming. Our firm culture is hardworking and positive, but more casual than traditional law firms. 

We are seeking a proactive and experienced mid-level Project Manager to join our team. This role involves overseeing the firm’s projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The Project Manager will work closely with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders across practice teams to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to the firm’s needs. This is a unique opportunity to become ZwillGen’s first Project Manager, playing a pivotal role in shaping the project management function within the firm.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead project planning sessions to determine the scope, objectives, and course of action for each project.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resources needed, utilizing project management tools and software.
  • Communicate project status updates, milestones, and key deliverables to clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within the scope, and budget.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Continuously improve project management processes and practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Project Manager or a similar role, preferably in a technology or a start-up environment.
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software and web technologies.
  • Solid organizations skills: able to manage multiple projects, assess priorities and perform under deadlines.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

 

Location

This position is available in any of our four offices: Washington D.C., New York, San Francisco, and Chicago and will occasionally require travel to Firm-sponsored events. A hybrid work schedule is available for employees 1-2 days a week.

 

Salary & Application
